Can I get my Epson Stylus C46 to print in B&W even if the color cartridges are empty?
No, Epson, like most inkjets, requires ink in all the cartridges in order to print. The ink also serves as lubricant for the heads. There are software programs which can fool the printer into thinking there is ink in an empty cartridge but in the long run it can damage the printer to do this.
