Can the Dell Printers be altered to accept the Lexmark printer cartridges?
No, even though Dell printers are in fact Lexmark printers, and they have Lexmark design and manufactured by design, they are designed just enough different that you can't put a Lexmark cartridge into Dell printer. You can use a Lexmark refill kit to refill a Dell printer cartridge (for the corresponding cartridge models) but you can not use Lexmark and Dell cartridges interchangeably
