Cartridge not working after using Canon BC-23 Refill Kit.
It is very difficult to predict what exactly is wrong with the cartridge. There can be many reasons. It may be any one or a combination of these. The most plausible reason can be that the print-head nozzles may be blocked due to dust or dried up cartridge ink. To troubleshoot, go through this link and follow the step wise-step instructions, Step1: Run the print-head cleaning mechanism (described in your inkjet printer's manual) and attempt to print a few pages. Step 2: If this procedure does not work, using the syringe supplied in your refill kit, inject air into the top air vent to clean the nozzles. A small amount of ink should be emitted from the nozzles upon injection. (The nozzle is the porous metal piece at the bottom of the cartridge). If these instructions do not prove helpful then unfortunately, print-head is probably clogged permanently and/or damaged and you will need to purchase a new cartridge.
