Dell toner for 944 - is there a compatible? I know that it is made by Lexmark. Does anyone know if Lexmark has a cartridge that will fit in the printer? Dell is very expensive. I find that the different manufactured cartridges I have used do not have the same quality at all, so I like to use the Dell originals. But, if Lexmark might work, I might try that. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately Dell cartridges are 'keyed' as Dell. Although physically the cartridges are very similar and in most cases will fit in the printer, the Lexmark cartridge will not be recognized by the Dell printer.
