Does anyone know why my magenta ink won't print but all the others will? My printer is a Brother MFC-5840CN.
If the ink cartridges have been in the printer for a while, maybe the cartridge is good and just needs some encouragement to begin working again. Obtain a rather moist paper towel and hold against the bottom of the ink cartridge. If ink flows out quickly, it's not clogged. But if it's not, keep it there for about 15 minutes or until you begin to see a flow of ink.
