Epson cx8400 problems with USB?
I would try replacing the USB cable; it sounds questionable if you have the correct USB cable. Even if your USB cable is correct cable, you might try replacing it. Several weeks ago, my HP Deskjet F-340 went crazy; after trying several other things, I replaced the USB cable, and everything worked fine.
