Epson printer problem: Don't want to use color ink cartridges. Is it okay to have 3 empty cartridge holders?
For starters, your printer will not function without color cartridges installed. Epson cartridges have a chip on the bottom that have an on off switch, If one cartridge is on the off position (empty) or missing the printer will not function.
