How do I perform printhead alignment in Mac OS X?
To perform printhead alignment in MacOS X, select system preference in the Apple menu then open Print and Fax. Make sure the correct printer is selected and, depending on OS version, click 'Open Print Queue...' or 'Print Queue...'Then Click the Utility icon. Select the printer, then click 'Maintenance'. The BJ Printer Utility will be launched. Select the test print from the drop down menu. Then, select printhead alignment. In the window, click 'printhead alignment' button. Look at the print out. From the patterns, select the most even, least irregular patterns and enter the number that corresponds. Then Click Send.
