How do I reset the printer to accept the new cartridges? I have only changed the cartidges in this printer one other time and it was fine. We are hooked up to a Mac OS10. My printer is an Epson R220.
Before installation its always a good idea to sit the cartridges upright out of the machine for about 15-20 minutes. This allows the ink to flow through the cartridge. When the ink settles in one part of the cartridge a lot of times your printer will not recognize it as being installed because the ink levels are not detected. I would also shut down the machine install the cartridge then start it back up. A lot of times your machine detects the cartridge that way.
