How is hot-water useful in cleaning my Dell laser printer? Sometimes a printer head gets clogged, restricing the ink from coming out. However there are sure fire remedies that you can make to remove the clog from your Dell printer: 1) Turn on the hot water and Let it get hot. 2) Put only the printhead portion under the hot water for 2 to 3 seconds. 3) Dry off the cartridge using a soft tissue. 4) Re-insert the cartridge into the printer. 5) Run the normal cleaning software routine a few times.
