How long can a LC-47 ink cartridge last inside a printer? My printer is a Brother DCP-110c.
There is really no way to tell if it is sitting in the printer unused. If you leave it that way for a few months, it will get dried out and the ink won't flow like normal. At that point, it all depends on how well the cleaning utilities work on the printer. You might leave it for six months, run the cleaning utilities and it looks fine. Or, you might run them and your prints end up streaky no matter how many cleanings you do. I would not recommend anything beyond six months though. If you leave them in your printer for a year and never use them, they probably aren't ever going to work and your printer might permanently be clogged.
