How to trick Brother MFC 3100 into recognizing remanufacured ink cartridges?
Putting tape on the cartridge, the side that faces the inside of the printer is something that has been recommended. You can also use a black marker rather than tape. When the eye passes the tape or mark, it will read the cartridge as being full. This does not always work, though.
