I am trying to install a Brother printer on a Windows XP PC, and I downloaded the drivers off the Brother website. But the PC keeps telling me that my software is not available or it says the hardware won't work properly. The installation never finishes. Sometimes it tells me that it can't find the drivers. Any suggestions?
If you install drivers without first deleting the original drivers, you wind up with problems like yours. Delete all printer drivers and then do a clean install of the brother drivers.
