I am unable to print from a client PC to a printer on a print server using my Linux Ubuntu 7.10 desktop.
This problem can occur if you have a firewall installed on the print server. If you have a firewall running, you need to open port 515 (line print spooler). The procedure to configure the firewall can differ between distributions. For further information, consult the documentation that came with your distribution.
