I cannot install my new Canon printer. My computer does not recognize the USB port.
You have not mentioned the brand name of your Canon printer. Check if your printer is USB1 or USB2 compliant. If that is USB2 compliant, you need to connect it to a USB2 port. See if your computer has that port. If it does not have that port, you need to buy a USB2 PCI card. If everything is there, then check if the printer driver is successfully installed. If that also does not work, uninstall all the USB devices and install the driver of your printer first and see if it works.
