I have a Brother DCP-130C printer that has been working fine up until now. I changed the black ink cartridge and now it won't print black. It goes from printing blank pages to printing very faintly and everything is smudged and lines are missing. I have put the ink in properly, aligned it, cleaned it, etc. Can anyone please help?

Check if you've removed the plastic cover from the ink cartridge.
