I have a Brother MFC and it continually tells me that the color cartridges are out of ink?
If you are sure the ink cartridge is not empty, it's possible that the sensor on the printer is faulty or the cartridge is no good. However, there are a few things that you can try before sending it to repair shop or throwing it away. Try to re-insert the cartridge. Then, unplug the printer from the power outlet for at least 1 minute and replug it. If there is still no change, try to clean the contact point between the cartridge and the printer. If that still does not work, then try a new cartridge. If the new cartridge still not working, you might want to call Brother for technical support, if the printer is still under warranty.
