I have a Canon bjc2000sp printer, and I haven't used it in while. I've replaced the ink cartridges yesterday and did some maintenance. But for some reason, it is not printing.
It's possible the print head in the printer got permanently dried out when you weren't using it. Was the cartridge you installed an old one or was that new? Are you using only the one black cartridge or are you using the black and color tanks? If you are using the black only cartridge, take it out and dab it on a piece of paper to see if ink is coming out, just to make sure the problem isn't with the cartridge. That model just wasn't really meant to last a long time, especially if it went unused for a while. There probably aren't a whole lot of BJC-2000s still in use today. You can probably keep an old laser printer in storage for a few years, dust it off and it will work fine, but inkjet printers are too delicate to last. If you keep running the cleaning utilities and nothing ever changes, I would not put any more money into trying to get that printer to work.
