I have a Dell 1110 Laser Printer which stopped working. The pages come out extremely messed up, with black ink all over the pages.
Chances are that your toner cartridge is bad. Best way to check this is to start a print, when the paper starts thru the printer, open the cover to stop the print in the middle of printing (hopefully it is part way onto the paper, if not try again), remove the toner cartridge and move the drum cover out of the way and look at the drum, there should be a partial image on part of the drum still. If you see the problem on the paper and the drum, then your problem is 98% probably the toner cartridge. But it is potentially possible something else could be wrong (high voltage problem, laser problem, etc), but not likely. If the drum image & partial print on paper is good, then your problem is most likely with the fusing assy. Make sure to carefully pull out the partially printed page.
