I have a Dell Photo Printer 720 and I can't get anything to print in color. The color cartridge is almost full, and I have used very little ink out of it. It only stopped printing in color after I replaced the black cartridge. I went through the steps in the maintenance section of the printer section in the control panel, and I selected 'old' color and 'new' black' I've even done it with 'new' of both, and it still wont work. This is my default printer on Windows XP. Does anyone have any suggestions on what do? I did the clean the head thing through the maintenance section but nothing is working. I've tried doing the 'print alignment test page' too, and the last line (the one in color) still will not print. Nothing is printing in color. If it's been a long time (a week or two or more) and the printer was left on, there's a possibility the color cartridge got clogged with dried ink. If that's all it is, a new cartridge would solve it. If it's a software problem, it won't help at all. Other than that, all I can suggest is uninstalling and reinstalling the printer drivers.
