I have a Samsung CLP-300 Series Colour Laser printer. As I print, the black is faded on one side, but not on the other. The colour toners/images are unaffected. All toners are full. I use it a lot for my lecture notes and all that jazz. I read that it might be the imaging unit or some sort of roller(?), but those are expensive (not to mention have no clue what it does) and I dont want to go out and buy one and realize that I didnt even fix the problem. Any help? Anyone have the same problem? That's a multi-pass colour machine, meaning it has 4 toners, and 1 imaging system that they all share, thereforR if you have a problem PURELY on 1 colour it is the colour cartridge is the problem On 'high speed' colour lasers you can have 4 lasers, and 4 drums, you do NOT have this on that machine. If you have an issue on ALL colours, it could be a laser lens blockage or drum failure, but a single colour failure is 99% down to the cartridge. If machine is under warranty, try contacting Samsung support to see if they might replace the cartridge, or at least offer a discount off a new one.
