I have a bit of a problem with my Epson DX4850. I'm printing some work out that has a Black and Navy colour scheme to it. I print it and it's all in shades of red. All my ink cartridges are full as they're brand new. When I tested it in in Notepad, and I print something, it's in black. Which makes me think it's a problem with Word 2007, but when I go to print, and the print preview comes up it's in the right colour but my printers not listening to it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it but no change. Anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong? This seems to be a colour adjustment problem or a print head problem. The colour your monitor is displaying may not be the true colour thereby giving you different print out colours. Open Excel and highlight a group of cells, While these cells are highlighted change the colour to solid yellow. Repeat for Red, Blue, and Black to create 4 coloured bars. Save this as Colour Test.xls Print this colour test If the any of the colours are not printing out the same or very close to the same as shown on your screen You can google print head cleaner for Epson DX4850 Also if you can try to clean the print heads with alcohol meant for this purpose.
