I have a lexmark x75 printer it is not printing colours properly. It does not print red and green, only washed-out colors. Ink level indicators show my cartridge is nearly full on the color and half full on the black. Does the printer need cleaning and if so, how do I do it?

This sounds like a faulty cartridge, but the only way to know for sure is to install a new cartridge. Most retailers are good about taking back defective cartridges - typically they'll exchange it for a new one. Give this a try before attempting to clean the print heads either via the printer software or manually.
