I have an Epson Stylus C66. I have been using the ink of some cheaper unknown brand for some two years. Now the printer is saying that it can not recognize the yellow ink cartridge. I have used that cartridge to print before but one day it just started saying cant recognize cartridge. I should probably use original Epson ink cartridges but the thing is out of the four ink cartridges, all of them are of the brand I have been using over the two years and suddenly the printer stopped recognizing the yellow cartridge. I replaced the yellow cartridge with a new one of the same brand but it is still not recognizing the cartridge. Also is there a way I can print with only the black cartridge, even when I choose black and white in the option when printing , it still says that it can't recognize the yellow cartridge.

Delete the drivers then reinstall them. Go to the Epson web site and look for an updated driver.
