I have an Epson Stylus C88 printer, and it has been working for a while until recently. When I print, there are horizontal lines across the picture, it becomes a tone of pink/magenta and is blurry/grainy. Now, I have bought new ink cartridges, so that is not the problem. Please, I need help I have an ISU due tommorow and I need to print it out.
One possible solution is to pull the cartridges and clean the contacts on the back (use a pencil eraser) and the contacts that match them on the printer. Assuming you have gone through the cleaning cycles, if the problem doesn't go away then there is an internal controller problem in the print head circuits.
