I have an Epson Stylus CX5000 and my black ink ran out, so I replaced it with the Black T069120 ink cartridge. I tried printing, and it said that the ink cartridge is incompatible with my printer! I always use the same ink cartridge and I never had a problem.
Use the old cartridge and see if you still get the same message. if not, then the cartridge should be replaced. Go back to the store and get another one. This happens often especially if their are programming codes on the cartridge itself.
