I have an Epson Stylus CX7400 Series printer. I just replaced the cartridges and now it won't print black. Can anyone help?
If you touched the chip on the front of the ink cartridge, the printer may not be reading the cartridge. That is probably not the reason though. Some of the Epson 69 ink cartridges, just are not being read by the printer. The only thing you can do, if this is the case, is to buy a new one and see if that works. Depending on where you purchased the ink cartridge, they may or may not exchange it. Some stores do and send the defective ink cartridge back to Epson. If they will not exchange it, contact Epson's customer service line and let them know the problem. They will send you a new black ink cartridge. Epson is aware of the problem and are currently (by now they should have) working on the problem.
