I have downloaded and installed the HP printer software on my computer but whenever I go to print a .pdf file, it says I need to install a printer first. How can I fix this problem?
First, you have to make sure you have the correct printer drivers. The drivers for each individual model or printer are different. If you go to the HP website and look under the support section you would be able to download and search for the drivers appropriate for the model of your printer. After installing the drivers. Make sure your printer is plugged in. If you still have trouble, go to the Control Panel from the Start Menu. Select System from the menu and click the Hardware tab. Now find your printer from the list under Device Manager and select your printer.
