I have the Epson Stylus Photo R1800 printer, and every time I print, it is missing out lines in my text. I know that the problem lies in the black ink cartridge. I have cleaned the printheads, changed the cartridges but I still get no difference! Does anyone one know how I can solve this problem? Many thanks
Sounds like your black print head is blocked. There are cleaning cartridges for sale on ebay. They basically contain alcohol to unblock the heads. If you can't fix it yourself it, will cost as much as a new printer to have someone else do it. In that case, you might want to replace it with a CX7400/CX8400 for about $70, a CX9400fax for $99 direct from epson.com or an RX595 for $99 from Epson.
