I have tried installing and un-installing the driver for my Pixma MP160 printer time and again. However, the computer does not recognize the device. What should I do if my OS is Vista Home Premium?
I suggest that you completely remove the software by going into the Add/Remove software. This is found in your control panel. Then, re-install the software fully. Make sure your printer is plugged in and reset your computer. Let the device manager re-recognize the drivers and devices. If you still encounter errors, go to your control panel and look under system/properties Devices. Make sure there is no Yellow! next to your printer. If there is one you can right click and select to search for the device drivers. Vista will then go online (make sure you are connected) and search for the appropriate driver. Then download the file and begin the installation process.
