I installed the driver from cd for my new Lexmark all-in-one printer and it didn't install right. I then downloaded another driver from the internet, and it still didn't work.I went to device manager and deleted the driver. I restarted the computer.I inserted the installation CD and it recognized it and still didn't install right.I want it all off so I can start from scratch. How can I completely uninstall a printer and driver from my computer? You may want to look in the Add/Remove programs to see if it is there. Install the driver, go to Add/Remove programs and uninstalll it from there. Or else, if the sofware came with an uninstall program you can uninstall it using that program. Your problem could also be with Windows Installer. Try upgrading the Windows Installer program from microsoft site. Then try installing the driver for the printer. Deleting drivers using the device manager will not work if you have upgraded the driver.because the old driver will still be there. You cannot rollback printer drivers.
