I just replaced by Epson Stylus CX3810 printer's ink, and now horizontal lines appear on my prints.
The best way to prevent this from happening is to use the printer regularly and shut it off when it's not being used. Leaving the printer on all the time or simply not using it enough allows the printhead to dry out and clog the nozzles. Don't worry! If you've just replaced your cartridges, the solvents in the new ink should help soften the clogs but it can take some time and patience. You'll find a decent guide with useful preventive maintenance tips on how to clean and prevent clogged ink nozzles at Inkjet Oasis.
