I lost the software to Lexmark printer, but I downloaded one from the manufacturer's website. Why doesn't it still work? My laptop's OS is a Windows Vista.
Go to the HP website and download the driver from there. There might be a fix. If not, power on the printer, unplug the USB from it and install the software you downloaded. At one point, the software will tell you to connect the USB to the printer. Do it and the software will finish installation. Reboot your computer and Windows will find the new printer and it should work.
