I need help with my Epson R280 printer. Everytime I print out a picture, it doesnt look right. I am using Kodak paper with it. Is it the ink, or the paper? What do you think is the problem?

I need help with my Epson R280 printer. Everytime I print out a picture, it doesnt look right. I am using Kodak paper with it. Is it the ink, or the paper? What do you think is the problem?
Epson ink is formulated differently. The coating on Kodak paper is wrong for Epson ink. I know it's darned expensive, but only Epson photo paper is guaranteed to work with Epson ink. I actually use compatible ink cartridges and compatible photo paper.
