I ran out of ink, so I went and bought some that was from OfficeDepot that was supposed to work with Dell printers. When I used it, there were little white lines running through the photograph that I printed. So I went and bought some more ink. The same thing happened, except now it has this yellowish look to it, plus the white lines and the black is also faded. I'm not sure whats wrong with it. I've adjusted the printing quality, I've did the 'clean print nozzles' test, and I even took the cartridges out and wiped them on a damp towel. I've also did the alignment test (and it says they cant be aligned). I have no idea what else to do..The answer to your problem consists of a few parts. If the nozzles are part of the cartridge, then buy genuine ones. Non-genuine inks sometimes have the correct viscosity (which is fluid thickness) and do not print correctly when heated to temperature by the nozzle. (Ink is actually ejected from the nozzle by temperature increasing the pressure in the confined space of teh nozzle). Because of this, non-genuiine inks can cause damage to the nozzle from ink drying up too quickly instead of ejecting or can corrode the nozzles due to an additional ingredient meant to balance the viscosity but having an unforseen detrimental effect. Your best bet is to buy a new printer and use only genuine ink in it. The print heads are often as expensive to replace as the whole machine when you add up parts labour and new genuine ink.
