I recently purchased an Epson r265, and I went and bought a CISS ink system for the printer, it worked amazingly for 2 days, then it stopped working.
You want to make sure that the CIS is stilling slightly higher and that the ink isn't working against gravity to get into the cartridges. If the CIS or most of the tubing is sitting below the level of the printer it may be pulling back on the ink. You may also have an inferior ink that is too thick of your machines. If this is an ink you have never used before and are now having trouble then you should try a different ink prior to scrapping the printer.
