I replaced the black and magenta cartridges on my Brother MFC-620cn All-in-One printer twice and the LCD still says the ink is 'near empty'. I cleaned them 5 times and it still reports near empty on the LCD readout. Presently, it seems to print fine, but what else can I do to correct the ink volume readout? I have read the manual thoroughly and don't know what else to do.
You may have to just ignore the message and when it starts printing badly then replace the cartridges. The other alternative is to bring the cartridges back to the store and get replacements. If you are just refilling them then that may be the problem. As long as you are printing OK, disregard the message.
