If an Epson R300 ink cartridge actually runs out of ink, will it damage the printer?
the printer will cease working before you run out of ink. This is of course unless you have reset the chip and are running the cartridge dry. Ink passing through the print head acts as a coolant as well as prevents the print head from fusing or getting plugged by debris. The printer stopping when a cartridge is empty is for the protection of the printer. I would strongly discourage using a cartridge that is out of ink. You can damage your printer.
