Is it alright to refill the Brother 240c ink cartridge with black? Is it best to wait until the machine says it is run out or should I refill them before?
Color cartridges, of whatever make, use different programing than black ink cartridges because of various colors needed at various points. They will not work normally for the above reason. It is best to refill when the color used starts to either skip, or get too light, depending on the printer. Most printers will tell you you need to re-order shortly before they run out.
