Is it possible to print on acetate with my HP Deskjet 1280 printer? Yes. However, ordinary plastic films such as acetate and polyester does not allow ink penetration. There are compatible inkjet plastic films for that. Inkjet transparencies have surface treatments that allow ink bonding and drying.
