Just bought an Epson CX8400 today. I was installing the ink cartridges and afterwards an error message came up. It said 'cannot recognize ink cartridges.' Can anyone help me?
Make sure that the cartridge is inserted into the correct location. Remove the yellow tape from the cartridges before installation. Also make sure the cartridge clicks in when installed. If it's not fully inserted, it will not be recognized by the printer because it's not making contact with the chip located on the cartridge. Also refer to the owner's manual to see if there are any other suggestions.
