Last year, I used my Brother HL-2040 laser printer at least one per week (not a lot). Over the summer, I didn't use it at all. This year, when I went to print a page, it comes out with these black spots on every page. I have tried changing the type of paper I use, I think I cleaned the toner thoroughly, and I still can't seem to fix it. Any help?
Try changing the toner cartridge. If that does not fix the problem you may have to have the drum looked at. I have seen it happen on new printers when someone has ran labels or photo paper through it
