My Brother 3-in-1 printer doesn't work once any of the ink cartridges goes empty. Is there a way to trick it so that the scanner can still be used?
No. The cartridges act as an on off switch for the entire printer. When one is empty or absent the printer is set to the off position. You need to replace the cartridge.
