My Brother fax/copier/printer MFC - 5840CN keeps referring to reinstall cartridges although the ink cartridges are new and installed properly. Why is this?
Some cartridges have a chip that needs to be reset if you refilled it. If it's new, then make sure all the contacts are clean. Use the printer's maintainence software.
