My Canon mp780 printer is not recognized by Windows XP I've tried resetting the printer and plugging it into other XP computers, but it doesn't work either.
Perhaps your USB cable is broken. Try connecting the printer into the computers with a different USB cable. If it still says it then maybe the drivers are corrupted or not installed correctly. If so then go to the Canon website and download the drivers there. Once it has finished downloading just follow the onscreen instructions. If this is not the problem, then perhaps your printer is having issues. Try e-mailing Canon and asking them what to do.
