My Canon printer won't print black ink.
It's probably the print head. Canon printers have a 'permanent' print head that isn't replaced with the ink cartridges. They generally don't last much more than a few years. Black is the most commonly used ink, so it seems likely. Replacement print heads can be ordered from Canon. The print heads will last much longer if you stay away from any ink that isn't genuine Canon.
