My Dell Printer wont recognize my color ink cartridge. Does anyone know why this is happening? Do you have any tricks I can use to make it recognize it?Some things to try: 1. Remove the protective plastic that often covers the chip 2. Try unplugging your printer from the electric outlet -- sometime this will reset it. 3. Go to your control panel and see the diagnostic info in there. 4. Make sure you have the correct cartridge model for your specific printer. 5. Contact the retailer that sold you the cartridges. If none of the above work, then it's probably defective.
