My Epson CX8400 won't recognize the ink cartridges.
Make sure that after you've inserted your ink cartridges in the right place, double-check the cartridge for dirt or remove the yellow tape on the cartridge if any. And in terms of warming up, all scanning equipment to ensure system setting hardware is ready for the scanning process.
