My HP Business Inkjet printer is all full of gunky ink - the printer still works but the ink seems to drag across the page and when you look inside under where you change the cartridges it is thick with ink. Can I clean it myself or would i break it?
The business Inkjet 1100 takes HP number 10 and 11 cartridges. The cartridge you are taking out are only an ink tank and not the actual printing bit, the Printheads are in the same part of the machine they are just under another cover, they too are numbered 10, 11 and lift out of the machine they are silver in colour and look like a small stapler, have a look at the nozzles on these they can be cleaned up just using tissue and spit or water if you prefer, but you can buy new printheads they are not too expensive.
