My HP printer does not recognize my new cartridge. A lot of times when a printhead is not seen by your HP printer it is because of dirty contacts in the carriage assembly. Turn off the printer and remove the printhead and using a damp lint free cloth, clean the contacts inside the carriage assembly for the color in question and see if that helps. Let it dry, put the new printhead back in and turn on the printer.
